Children's watch inspection requirements and methods

1. Product Categories

  • 1. Kids Quartz Watches :

    • Pointer

    • LCD type

    • Pointer + LCD digital

  • Children's smart watch : integrated with positioning, calling, health monitoring and other functions.

2. General performance requirements

project Technical indicators
Operating temperature It keeps running within -5℃~50℃ and the LCD display is normal (tested at low temperature of 0℃)
Voltage range DC 3.0V model: 2.7V~3.2V; DC 1.5V model: 1.25V~1.55V
Travel time accuracy Average instantaneous daily difference ≤±2.0 s/d (smart meter/pointer meter); ≤±1.0 s/d (LCD meter)
Temperature coefficient In the range of 8℃~38℃, the daily change caused by a 1℃ change is ≤0.15 s/d
Voltage coefficient Daily variation caused by voltage fluctuation of 1V ≤ 0.15 s/d
Battery life ≥1 year (smart watch ≥7 days)
Poor coordination of hour and minute hands Pointer watch: minute hand deviates from "12" hour mark ≤ 24°

3. Security and reliability

  • Structural safety : no components will fall off; the strap is resistant to tensile and torsional fatigue (elongation ≤3%, buckle hole deformation ≤50%); no risk of injury from sharp edges.

  • Environmental tolerance :

    • Waterproof : Those with the mark must comply with GB/T 30106 standard.

    • Shockproof : Marked ones comply with GB/T 38022; unmarked ones must pass the vibration test (stop ≤ 10s).

    • Anti-static : LCD/smart meter functions normally after electrostatic test.

  • Durability :

    • Light-resistant (no abnormality is shown after 1 minute of strong light exposure).

    • Corrosion resistant (no corrosion spots/salting out on the surface).

    • Cover adhesion (no cracking/peeling).

4. Appearance and Display

  • Dial : Characters are clear and flawless; glass/back cover assembly is solid with no gaps.

  • Display requirements :

    • LCD: no missing lines, ghosting, or hidden images.

    • Pointer watch: When the hour marker coincides with the hour hand, the deviation of the minute hand is ≤24°.

Test methods

1. Key test conditions

  • Temperature: 18℃~25℃ (fluctuation ≤2℃), humidity ≤70%.

  • Pre-run: Run for at least 2 hours before testing.

2. Core test items

Test items method
Operating temperature High and low temperature cycle (-5℃/50℃ for 24 hours each), if the machine stops or displays abnormality, it will be deemed unqualified.
Timekeeping quality Measure the instantaneous daily difference for 3 consecutive days and calculate the average value and temperature/voltage coefficient.
Battery life According to the formula: L = battery capacity / working current × 0.85 (measured current method).
shockproof performance After the vibration test, there is no looseness of components, the LCD display is normal, and the pointer meter error is ≤10s.
Light resistance Shine an 8W incandescent lamp at a distance of 1cm for 1 minute and check the display status.

3. Additional requirements for smart meters

  • Functions such as positioning, calling, and health monitoring must be 100% effective.

  • App remote control (disabled during class) responds accurately.

In summary : Children's watches must meet stringent environmental adaptability (temperature/voltage), timekeeping accuracy (daily error ≤ ±2s/day), and physical safety (shockproof/waterproof). They must also undergo specialized testing to verify battery life, display reliability, and structural durability. Smart watches also require stable communication functionality. The overall appearance of the product must be free of safety hazards and meet the special protective requirements of children.
