1. Material safety inspection requirements

  1. Flame retardant properties of non-metallic materials

  • Grading standards:

    • V-0: Single burning time ≤ 10 seconds, total burning time ≤ 50 seconds

    • V-1: Single burning time ≤ 30 seconds, total burning time ≤ 250 seconds

    • Test method: UL94 vertical burning test (sample thickness 2.0±0.1mm)

  • Key component requirements:

    • The battery compartment housing must meet V-1 level

    • The circuit board substrate must pass the GWIT 775℃ test

    • The material dripping from the pedal surface must not ignite the cotton pad

  1. Metal parts protection

  • Anticorrosion treatment:

    • Aluminum alloy anodized film thickness ≥ 10μm

    • Salt spray test for steel parts ≥ 96 hours (ISO 9227)

    • Electroplating layer adhesion test (cross-cut method level 1)

  • Insulation design:

    • The gap between the metal shell and the charged body is ≥2.5mm

    • Use PTFE or silicone rubber insulating gaskets

    • Insulation resistance after damp heat test ≥10MΩ

2. Structural safety inspection standards

  1. Shell protection design

  • Requirements for activation:

    • A T8 or higher screwdriver is required for disassembly

    • The anti-dismantling structure has at least 3 fixing points

    • Waterproof grade IP34 (rain test for 10 minutes)

  1. Edge security processing

  • Protrusion specifications:

    • Exposed thread extension ≤ thread diameter

    • The end of the tubular object is rounded R ≥ 1.0mm

    • Use a 2mm radius probe to detect no sharp points

  1. Mechanical strength verification

  • Static load:

    • Pedal load 150kg (5 minutes)

    • Handle tensile strength ≥500N

    • Deformation ≤3mm

  • Dynamic testing:

    • Drop test (1m height, 3 directions)

    • Vibration test (5-200Hz, 3 hours)

    • Fatigue test (100,000 pedal strokes)

3. Electrical safety testing system

  1. Battery system safety

  • Lithium battery requirements:

    • Complies with GB/T 40559-2021 standard

    • Overcharge/overdischarge protection response time <1s

    • Short circuit protection action current ≥ 3C

  • Test items:

    • Needle puncture test (Φ5mm steel needle)

    • Extrusion test (13kN pressure)

    • Thermal runaway propagation test

  1. Circuit protection design

  • Insulation performance:

    • Primary circuit withstand voltage 1500V/1min

    • Insulation resistance ≥100MΩ (500VDC)

    • Creepage distance ≥4.0mm

  • Overload protection:

    • Motor winding temperature rise ≤75K

    • Fuse I²t characteristic matching

    • Cable temperature monitoring (≤90°C)

  1. Charging system inspection

  • Charger requirements:

    • Complies with GB 4943.1-2022 standard

    • Anti-reverse polarity design

    • Output ripple ≤ 200mV

  • Charging protection:

    • Charging lock function

    • Temperature monitoring accuracy ±2℃

    • Automatic stop when full (accuracy ±1%)

4. Functional safety test specifications

  1. Speed protection system

  • Speed limit function:

    • Overspeed alarm threshold ≤ 20km/h

    • Rocker angle ≥10°

    • Deceleration gradient ≤ 1m/s²

  1. Low battery protection

  • Early warning mechanism:

    • Level 1 alarm (20% battery remaining)

    • Level 2 speed limit (10% battery remaining)

    • Power-off protection voltage accuracy ±50mV

  1. Special working condition protection

  • Hill parking:

    • Maintain a 15° incline for ≥5 minutes

    • Anti-rollback function

    • Torque compensation response time <0.5s

  • Instability protection:

    • Stop within 5 seconds after dumping

    • Motor stall current ≤ 2 times rated

    • Automatic power off function

5. Environmental adaptability test

  1. Climate testing

  • Temperature Cycle:

    • -20℃~60℃ (10 cycles)

    • Storage test (-40℃~70℃)

    • High temperature and high humidity (40°C/95%RH)

  • Dustproof test:

    • Φ1.0mm steel wire probe

    • 8-hour dust blowing test

  • Waterproof test:

    • Rain test (10L/min)

    • Water splash test (all directions)

  1. Electromagnetic compatibility

  • Radiated emission: ≤30dBμV/m (30-1000MHz)

  • Electrostatic discharge: ±8kV contact discharge

  • Radiated immunity: 10V/m (80-1000MHz)

6. Packaging and transportation inspection

  1. Packaging safety

  • Drop test:

    • Falling from corner/edge/surface (1.2m high)

    • Package compression test (500kg)

  • Environmental protection:

    • Moisture-proof packaging (≤85%RH)

    • Thickness of shockproof material ≥30mm

  1. Signage system

  • Product Identification:

    • Laser engraving depth ≥ 0.3mm

    • Including maximum load, speed level

    • QR code traceability system

  • Warning signs:

    • Safety icons

    • Prohibited modification tips

    • Charging precautions

Implementation of this specification requires compliance with the latest version of GB/T 34667-2017, "Safety Requirements and Test Methods for Electric Self-Balancing Scooters." Export products must also comply with the EU EN 17128:2020 standard. Manufacturers are advised to establish a fault tree analysis (FTA) system to verify the reliability of protection functions. Smart self-balancing scooters must also pass RF certification testing for wireless communications (such as Bluetooth).
