LED lamp inspection standards and methods

1. Appearance and structure inspection (visual inspection + measurement)

  1. surface defects

    • 0.5m visual inspection: The housing/lampshade has no deformation, scratches, paint peeling, or stains

    • The pins are straight without bending and there is no abnormal sound when shaking

  2. Size compliance

    • Key dimensions (such as mounting hole spacing, outer diameter) ≤ drawing tolerance ±1mm

  3. Materials and Assembly

    • Radiator material verification (6063 aluminum alloy preferred)

    • Screws are fully tightened (torque test), edge chamfering (R angle ≥ 0.5mm)

2. Performance Safety Verification (Instrument Testing)

3. Reliability measurement (destructive test)

  1. Switch life

    • 60-second on/off cycle 5000 times → Functional (IEC 60598)

  2. Durability

    • Under 60℃/60%RH environment 360 hours Continuous lighting → Luminous flux maintenance rate ≥85%

  3. extreme environments

    • -25℃ Freeze for 96h → Lights up immediately without flickering

    • +40℃ baking for 96h → Luminous decay ≤5%

  4. Overvoltage protection

    • Input voltage 120% rated value → The protection device is activated and automatically restarts after the voltage is restored

  5. Drop test

    • With packaging 2 meters high drop in 8 directions → Structural integrity and normal function (ISTA-1A)

5. Packaging and Document Verification

  1. Packaging specifications

    • Outer box printing: order number/net weight/gross weight/model number/barcode (100% pass scanning)

    • Warning signs: Moisture-proof/fragile signs in the correct direction

  2. Document Verification

    • Compulsory certification : CNAS report (GB 7000.1)

    • Export certification : UL report (North America), CE+ENEC (EU), PSE (Japan)

 Special attention items for third-party inspection companies

  1. consistency spot check

    • Disassemble 3 products from the same batch and check whether the PCB solution/chip brand/capacitor specifications are consistent

  2. Key parts traceability

    • The driver power supply must provide a UL certification number, and the LED chip must be verified by the original factory BIN record.

  3. On-site limit testing

    • Simulate grid fluctuations (260V input) to verify no flicker

    • Blocking the heat dissipation holes triggers over-temperature protection (response time ≤ 3 seconds)
